Justin is an environmental and community development expert with over 7-years hands on experience in the assessment, planning, management, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of projects addressing the needs of marginalized communities. A wealth of experience implementation multi-million donor funded Community WASH and Livelihoods Programs in Kenya and South Sudan. Over this period, Justin has handled many prominent projects as a team leader of project participant/member. Some of the key projects include:
Member of team of 8 experts that developed the Disaster Risk Reduction(DRR) strategy for Caritas Switzerland Horn of Africa program in 2012; Successfully implemented various water, hygiene and sanitation infrastructure projects that include construction of 2000 latrines in Dadaab Refugee Camp in a partnership program with CRS; Coordinated emergency water supply and hygiene promotion services and that helped avert diarrheal disease outbreaks in IDP and refugee camps in Kenya; Implemented the construction of 45 kilometres pipeline in Central Pokot Sub County, and effectively supervised construction of 5 water pans, 15 underground tanks and rainwater harvesting systems in 20 schools; Effectively supervised the installation of 30 hand pumps and protection of 25 springs in various project sites; Successfully coordinated beneficiary targeting and a seed fair (Voucher system)to distribute seed and other farm inputs to 12,000 farmers; Facilitated the formation and training of 25 peace committees in Uasin Gishu and Trans-Nzoia Counties; Effectively trained 200 voluntary retiring staff on self-discovery, personal branding, business planning, entrepreneurship and financial management; Effectively led a team of three consultants in conducting an education, food security and peace building project baseline survey for World Vision South Sudan for the Juba Area Rehabilitation Program.
